Feeling Blue
2018
225 x 35 x 180 cmplywood board, posters
Title borrowed from The Mirror article: „Feeling Blue - Women more likely to wear jeans when depressed” constitute a framework for series of „posters”. The goal of the project is to address the paradox of visual communication and self expression inability to communicate complex feelings. Jeans become a point of departure to focus on their role in the post-industrial world and their huge and visible influence on our psyche. Their affect on how we feel about ourselves and about other people. As a non-object in most of the wardrobes across the globe, it is both casual and sophisticated garment we tend to choose whenever we need to bland in and feel comfortable. "Challenge the irrational should and musts by choosing not to chose."
Sculpture was a part of LET’S POLISH! Design aus London, Paris, Wien, Berlin und Warschau exhibition in Polnisches Institut Berlin curated by Tulga Beyerle (Kunstgewerbemuseum, SKD).
